Many people find that cleansing the body through a juice detox very easy and helpful. Juice detoxes are used when a person eats too much fatty and unhealthy foods and wants to feel "cleaned out" of all of the toxins in unhealthy foods.     Most people do a juice detox diet for a few days to fully clear out the colon and digestive tract. To expedite the process you can drink one or two glasses of prune juice a day.

    The rest of the time, replace all of your regular meals with juice and water. You may want to choose juices that contain celery. Celery has been shown to aid in the body's elimination of carbon dioxide, which is handy if you live in a polluted area.

    When you are done with your detox you will want to eat food products that contain acidophilus, which helps to grow back healthy bacteria in your colon that was lost during the detox. Acidophilus can be found in yogurts and cheeses that are specially labeled to contain acidophilus.
