Liver Cleansing Diet Information

The liver filters out all of the toxins that we put into our bodies. It is necessary sometimes to cleanse the liver through diet, which can help and even heal conditions like fatty liver and skin problems. Here are the main elements of the liver cleansing diet.

Eliminate Foods

    Eliminate foods that aggravate the liver. These include red meats, alcohol and sugary or salty foods.

Whole Grains

    Eat as many whole grains as you like. The most valuable for the liver cleanse are oats, especially oat bran (see Resources below).

Fruit

    Try to eat an abundance of fresh fruit. Fruit naturally cleanses and flushes the liver, so the more fruits you eat the better your liver will function (see Resources below).

Vegetables

    Eat plenty of fresh, raw vegetables. Vegetables are high in fiber, which aids in digestion and help the liver flush out toxins.

Water

    Make sure to drink plenty of filtered water. Water is the key to the liver flush, so you want to drink at least eight glasses of water per day.
